Brilliant Dust
Creator of work: Hanako Geierhos (Wien, Austria)
Brilliant Dust is a site-specific, community related installation by the German artist/designer Hanako Geierhos. It is part of Paradox Intervention an ongoing collaboration series started in 2006. Functioning as a transdisciplinary laboratory, it occurs as an utopian notion of a diverse group of artists from different medias and cultural backgrounds which work in a flat hierarchy together.
By influencing different directions through interdependencies new emergences are created. Paradox Intervention tries to focus on the interface where all disciplines in each single project meet, overlap and build a grey zone which has not been much defined before.
The title for the St. Petersburg setting is inspired by the Russian experimental track “Brilliant Dust” by KYSKAS (Murmansk). The installation will be completed with the Austrian Painter Florian Schmidt.
